Brad Stubbs
The Last Drive-In Movie, is Brad Stubbs' first solo album. It is full of atmospheric
and dreamy ballads, like
"Solitaire", "It's Always Something" and the jazzy "Song
To Sing"
. This is an intimate affair and when he sings "This One's From The
Heart"
, he means it. Brad plays guitar, but also mandolin and accordion. He was
simply recorded at home and in the hills of Laurel Canyon. Reminiscent of the
songwriters of the 1970's, he mines deep emotional territory.  Brad weaves
beautiful melodies with lyrics that read like poetry. Just take a listen to the title
track or
"Forever In Love", which is based on a poem by Li Po.  Consider the
dark and bluesy
"I Don't Have To Make You Love Me",  where he not only sings
but howls.
"How Long Will You Wait" or the funny "Look In Your Own Backyard"
reveal his Celtic influences. Finally, he rounds out the CD with the hopeful

"Happy Endings"
a song about finding optimism in times of despair.
Listen to Song To Sing
Song To Sing

Words I didn't say
somehow got away from me
and you're too far gone
to hear it anyway
How I missed the time
to relay some lines to you
share a melody
that's to you from me

We all got a song to sing

There is poetry
in your ears and in your eyes
theres a symphony
there's music everywhere
In each of us
some don't realize
there's a tune inside
one that must not hide (yeah)

we all got a song to sing

so sing it out....

Hear the voices cry
many more they try
as some just shake it off
some can't turn it off
And the beat goes on
harmony is strong
life goes on
no one's ever wrong (yeah)

we all got a song to sing

we all got a song /got a song to sing

ba- da- bop

find your voice( yeah)
